Adopt Haiti Project, Incorporated (AHP) is a non-profit organization and operates exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Adopt Haiti Project, Inc., purpose is to inspire, advance knowledge and strengthen our communities through the enrichment of the Caribbean American culture in Richmond, Virginia.
AHP was established after the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti. The organization shares its culture, time, and talents in effort to provide support and foster community. AHP offers Creole classes for those interested in learning the language of Haiti. Social events are hosted in effort to raise funds to benefit students of Richmond, VA and Haiti.
Caribbean American Heritage month is celebrated in June. On June 8, 2019. AHP will host its first annual festival in which we will showcase the culture, food, art, fun, music & diversity of the Caribbean. The festival will take place at Dorey Park in Henrico County, VA.
We ask for your assistance to help us celebrate and make the Caribbean festival successful with your donations of products, services and or gift certificates. In addition to helping the community you will receive recognition on AHP’s website, social media, brochures and the opportunity to advertise or showcase your products to the community at large.
